Welcome to 17th annual Bali Ha’i at The Kampong, Sunday, March 27, 2011.

Bali Ha’i is a glorious afternoon of gourmet dining and fine wine among the exotic tropical botanical collection of The Kampong of the National Tropical Botanical Garden located in Coconut Grove.

Regarded as one of the most popular events on the Miami social calendar, Bali Ha’i has sold out each of its sixteen years with over 500 in attendance.

Guests come from all around south Florida, including the immediate neighborhoods of Coconut Grove and Coral Gables and also Miami Beach, Key Biscayne, Aventura and South Miami. Because of its reputation and popularity, Bali Ha’i tickets are coveted. Bali Ha’i patrons have diverse backgrounds and interests; you will find many are wine and gourmet food enthusiasts, wine collectors, patrons of the arts and cultural institutions and advocates of South Florida’s unique cultural and environmental heritage.

The Bali Ha’i VIP Party Under The Palms is held one hour prior to the main event featuring the creative work of three of our outstanding chefs, last years peoples choice award winners. This exclusive preview to the main event provides champagne views across the Bay to Key Biscayne.

The creations of Miami’s best chefs, incredible wines, a stellar auction, and one of the most beautiful views of Biscayne Bay are the perfect recipe for this fundraiser to benefit The Kampong and the American Institute of Wine & Food.

This year's Bali Ha'i theme is inspired by Bollywood, India's version of the Hollywood film industry.  

The name "Bollywood" is derived from Bombay (the former name for Mumbai) and Hollywood, the center of the American film industry.

Be sure to dress the part with Indian clothing and accessories.

VIP - Following the VIP Party Under the Palms (4-5 p.m.), VIP guests will enjoy from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the new VIP exclusive “Jakarta Lounge” in the Schockman Education Center. In this oasis overlooking the main lawn, you’ll sample VIP-only chef delicacies and select wines from France, Italy and California. You may pick up your VIP gift bag in The Jakarta Lounge.

VIP Plus Tickets - $3500.00 Includes 10 VIP tickets, with a reserved table for 10 in the Jakarta Lounge and butler table service of food and wine.

Main Event – Along with our regular chef and beverage stations, guests will enjoy perfect food and wine pairings at select chef stations on The Kampong main lawn. Check in at Bollywood Central, located under the big tent, to see and bid on silent and live auctions. Shop our exclusive auction items, lounge, eat and drink with friends at Bollywood Central.

Bali Ha’i is an outdoor all weather event. Should inclement weather be in the forecast, all guests, auctions, chef and beverage stations will be completely under tent!
